Advise please

We would like to go Sipidan ideally in September . My husband is an experienced diver and i love snorkelling although i am not a very strong swimmer.

Can anyone advise of any resort that guarantees diving permits for Sipidan - i think that this is near impossible.

that would also suit me as a snorkeller.

We wish to go the Perhentians before we go to Sipidan and know that the weather in Perhentians will usually be overcast later in September so prefer to go there first - what the weather and visibilty will be like mid to late September in Sipidan

Will Sipidan be quieter late September and a better chance for my husband to get dive permits.

Regret to say, no regret could gurantee a diving permit in Sipadan, but they do promise a "high chances" of getting the permit if you stay for a min of 4 nights.

A resort that suits a diver & snorkel, i would say, Pom Pom Resort.

Been to Pom Pom, Mabul & Kapalai, my personal opinion, Kapalai & Mabul is more suitable for hardcore divers. Whereas Pom Pom has a nice beach to relax and a good place for snorkeling for non-divers.

Weather in Sept? It should be pretty sunny. For Sipadan, there is no peak or low season, it is busy throughout the year.

My husband and I dove with Sipidan Scuba in November 10. They are based out of Semporna, and will guarantee your permits -- 2 days at Sipidan if you pay for 3 days of diving. We stayed at Singamata Adventures -- I still 'owe' a review, but we had a room with our own bathroom shower there which was quite nice. Other divers stayed at Seafest Hotel in Semporna and enjoyed it.

Sipidan Scuba was pricey but worth it to us for the guaranteed permits which we could not get at a resort.
