Diving in Sipidan

Hello!

We are 2 newlyqualfied Open Water Scuba Divers. We would love to do some diving in Borneo when we visit in March - can anyone recommend a good company to go with that dive in and around Sipidan, as we have heard this is the best place to go?!

Thanks!

Sarah.

I went to Borneo recently and dived there. This was my first diving experience after getting my open water certification - It was an amazing experience. I just reviewed billabong on mabul island where we stayed... Take a look at that review as I talk about some details of the island too. You would fly into tawau, get driven to Semporna and then depart from there via boat to an island. You stay on mabul Island (This has the most hotels) or kapalai Which has one resort. You cannot stay on Sipidan anymore but you dive here (you need Permits to dive here which your resort can help you get... This is something to inquire about with the resort before you book). I believe there are other islands around (like Pom Pom) but I'm not really sure how close or if there are resorts on them. When we went we stayed on mabul and then we dived at Mabul, kapalai, and Sipidan. I recommend going at least three days.
