Port of landing?

Hello. We're planning on going to the island for two nights. We'd be departing from Granada on Jan. 7th., am. Take the bus to Rivas. We're not sure which port we should take the ferry to. We'll be on foot. Would like to quickly find a clean, simple place to stay....then check the island out via bus. What would be the best location to head for? Is it worth taking the ferry from Granada direct?

Any suggestions as for inns, hotels....in the $60 and under range? Also what bus line should I be looking at for going over the border to Costa Rica.?

Thanks

Moyolgapa is the port where there are more hotels, restaurants, and from where the buses leave. From granada you will arrive at Moyogalpa around 07 pm and there is no hotels near by and need to move by vehicle. Now the bus line that you can take to cross CR border are many as ticabus, transnica, but this tickets have to be purchase ahead, if you will be in Granada buy them there and check them time that they will pass by the office in Rivas.

I take it you can get to Ometepe much faster by taking the bus down to Rivas then taking the ferry at San Jorge
