Manila to Sagada

Hi

We are a couple ariving in Manila at 8.18.14 at 23:00.

We would like to go to Sagada with a van or something like that and return on 8.22.14 in the morning to Manila and from there fly to Palawan.

Any one knows how to do that and the rates for this way?

thank you

Since you will be arriving late at night and the buses to Banaue already left Manila, you may go to Victory Liner Bus Station in Pasay (very close to NAIA) and ride a bus bound to Baguio City about 5-6 hrs. There are trips 24/7. In Baguio, there are buses going to Sagada from 6am to 1pm in Dangwa Terminal (a 5 hour trip) so you may be able to catch it in time.

That is dirt cheap! Is it his first time to go there?

Make sure that the vehicle is in good condition and that there will be 2 drivers for the long journey. Most of the traffic accidents in the Cordillera region are caused by human error and mechanical failure of vehicles.

Be on guard and see to it that driver use defensive driving especially for newcomers or first-time to traverse the mountainous road terrain of the Cordillera.

TD has bring out a very important point; that is the experience of the driver.

Cordillera is a mountainous area. So you need an experience driver to bring you there.

To make it worse, you are going during the wet season where landslide may happen. The authorities may need a few days to clear the debris depending how fast can they deploy the machines to the site.

So better to have a plan B.

18000 pesos? how many days would you need the driver and van?

I suggest you can check website of some local tour operators in the Philipines which will give you options if you want private arrangements.

For a trip to Sagada during rainy season, PLEASE be safe and go with an experienced driver. Better to get from the recommendations in the link tommo gave you above. I found good reviews of TouristDriver on here and recommended him to my friends visiting from out of town. They were very happy and most of all, came home safe and sound.

Hi

We used Arnold Sanchez's service.

He sent us 2 drivers named Joey and Anthony. With a good new car.

We had an amazing time with them. These guys are pros

Joey is a former tourist guide so he really came in handy with his knowledge and they were both very cool and nice. Thanks to them we didn't miss Batad and Banawe.

We left Manila at 4 am and had a crazy but wonderful ride to Banawe. From ther we left them and went to Batad and stayed there for the night and the day after we went back to Banawe and met them and drove to Sagada. We stayed in Sagada for the night and left back to Manila the next day at noon.

Of course we did all the things there is to do in these places and did not miss a thing.

When we came to Manila it was late at night and Joey and Anthony did not leave us until we found a normal place to stay and even helped us to find a good money change. This was the best service we got in all our trip to the Phillipines.

We continued from Manila to Palawan for 2 weeks for the rest of our trip.

Phillipines was the best!

Joey and Anthony were great. I warmly and highly recommend to use Arnold Sanchez's driving services.
