Bocas in August

We are visiting for three days mid-August; what whether should i expect/hope for? We are not into the party scene - is it better to stay out of town or is that very inconvenient if it is rainy? And what will we do if it rains non-stop? Thanks

You will enjoy Bocas in August! It is actually a popular month and the town is busy. In the tropics one day can be beautiful and sunny, the next pooring rain. No guarantees except if it does rain, it usually clears up by the early afternoon. If you are on an outer island and it rains, you will not have many choices compared to staying on the main island. If by chance it does rain non.stop, you can take up a 3 day scuba class certification, go kayaking, take up surfing, go have lunch on a neighboring island, visit an indigenous village ...since this is a boating community, the rain doesn't really stop people from going out. Indulging in the party scene is your choice. There are many eclectic restaurants and the walking down the main street in the evening with street vendors to complete your evening. The rest is your choice! Have a great time.
