Hotel question

We will have just 2 days in Delhi. As we are not keen to stay in the centre - which of these would you recommend as most accessible to the Delhi sights and shops:

- Crown Plaza Okhla

- Doubletree Mayur Vihar

- Country Inn by Carlson Saket

- Hilton Janakapuri.

We don't want to waste too much time battling traffic. Thanks much in advance

You can stay in country inn (Saket) as it is in SOuth Delhi and at least a few markets and good malls are around, where you can spend some time during your 2 day stay. Rest 3 are really far from any known market places (except for that areas local markets).

You can also look at some more options like Taj Mansingh or The Lalit (in delhi)

The all Hotels are quite far from city. You may chose Country Inn by Carson as Saket is a better area compare to Other Hotels.

Double Tree By Hilton , Mayur Vihar is just opposite Delhi Metro so that you can reach city center within 30 minutes & Akshar Dham Temple in 10 Minutes by Metro.

City Center hotels are quite expensive compare to out skirt hotels you chose.

Recommended City Center Hotels :

Top End - The Imperial, Taj Mahal

05star Luxury- Shangrila, The Lalit

05star - The Metroplitan , Radisson Blu - CP , The Park

Country Inn, Saket is closer to more sightseeing spots in Delhi. Also there are good shopping malls & branded outlets around this place.

But do compare the rates that other hotels have to offer. That might influence your decision making. These hotels are well connected by Delhi metro.. so if you are travelling by metro, traffic will not be an issue.

Thank you all. I am thinking Saket is a good place to put up. Only issue with Carlson are that the non-smoking rooms are subject to availability. And we strictly want non-smoking rooms.

I'll also check other Saket hotels. Thanks again!

Saket is a good option. Besides the Country INN, it also has a Welcomgroup hotel if you would like to stay in a 4star.
