Shopping for shawls, kurtas and men's ethnic kurtas

What would be the best places to buy good quality shawls, women's kurtas/tops/salwars and men's ethnic kurtas in south Delhi? If there are shops that will sell both women's and men's ethnic wear at the same store is preferable. I would like to stay away from bargaining and am interested in non-designer but higher end stores.

What is the price for pashmina scarves at Ahujasons? Could not find pricing anywhere.

Thanks a lot!

Hi LeisureTraveler07,

Ahujasons is THE place for shawls. I was in there when in Delhi 10 days ago and the quality & selection are beyond anything I could possibly imagine or describe. The prices are on a sliding scale according to quality, work (machine, hand, how extensive, etc.), size & more. The service is so helpful. Top quality Pashmina scarves start at about 900 rs. and full size shawls with the most beautiful & elaborate hand work will go past 25,000 rs. (I don't know what there most expensive cost) there is a lot on the lower side & everywhere in the middle. Thank you TravelAlong1980 for sending me there initially a few years ago, a trip to Delhi will never be complete again without heading to Ahujasons!

For womens & Mens ethnic wear of good quality at set prices, go to Fabindia & Anokhi at Khan Market & GK (grater Kalish)1, N block. You'll find it all there.

Enjoy shopping paradise!
