I am very adventurous while on a holiday. I want to try things that I haven't had at home. Otherwise what's the fun in that?
I am really looking forward to eating (1) dahi pan puri, (2) bav bhaj and of course calming snack: (3) paan
How am I doing so far...
Dahi Pani Puri: Pani Puri is made with different fillings. Dahi pani puri is a good one. (A bite size deep fried pastry filled with sweetened yogurt, potato, chick peas, green chutney, sweet chutney, tomato, coriander, chopped masala, & the colorful topping is sweetened yogurt, chili powder (optional) and sweet chutney, chopped masala and sev (deep fried Indian vermicelli) youtube.com/…related www.youtube.com/watch…
Pav Bhaji: (pronounced pah ba-jee) is a dip served with bread. Made with potatoes, cauliflower, peas, salt, butter, oil, cumin, asofoetida seasoning, turmeric, chili powder, onion, garlic, ginger, tomatoes, tomato sauce, Pav Bhaji masala, lemon lime juice, coriander pepper, garnished with cilantro and served with bread warmed in a frying pan. . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uFc0NixXWog
Paan: ask for "mitha" Benarasi paan without "zarda" (tobacco.) and without bettlenut. (It is very calming, it’s also considered an aphrodisiac.) Customize Paan to just the way you like it,,, and you do swallow the paan, its just the beetlenut juice that is spat out.
I am looking for a balance of Indian food. I would something else that is not deep fried.
Is there anything that isn't deep fried and taste good?
