Taxi Fare

Hi there,

Just checking, how much will it cost from the airport to RainTree Anna Salai by pre paid or fast track taxis.

I want to compare the price, so that if the hotel also charges around the same fare, I might as well book the pick up from the hotel.

Any advise will be appriciated

During the day, it may be around 450 rupees. Between 11pm & 5 am, there will be an additonal charge. The flip side with prepaid or call taxis is that they may not turn up on time or the car could be shabby, if you will get hassled by these, you are better off using the hotel taxi, though their charges will always be higher than prepaid taxis, for the same reason they charge higher tariff than a 2 star hotel.

Hi....

There are approved prepaid taxi counters in the airport itself and some private operators also. There are 3 to 4 counters other than this charging variable tariffs depending on the class of car. But, a fair and nominal pricing would be at the Govt Prepaid taxi counter and it would be very competitive comparing to the prices offered by the hotels.

rs 500 for Fast Track, about 400 for the non-AC black Ambassadors, 360 + 40 service fee. Either will get you there. There are no meter taxis or autos.
