SNOW in Darjeeling

I'm staying in Siliguri, Want to know,

1. At what time I could find good amount of snow in this region.(nearest to Siliguri)

2. snow, Not just for seeing at a top of mountain but to actually be in it.

Darjeeling use to have snowfall in January, but not every year. Sandakphu would be the ideal place to enjoy snow in Jan.

Hi Gaurav

Sandakphu which is about 80 kms from Siliguri is the place where you will get snow. The trek to Sandakphu is thrilling with great sights of steep mountains.

Swadesh,

Sandakphu as advised above will have snow, but the trek is not for all, and Sandakhphu has a limited choice of accommodation. If you want an easier trip, it is easier to go to North Sikkim or make a daytrip to Changu Lake from Gangtok. There is normally a lot of snow at that time and the lake is frozen, a sight to see in itself.
