Water conditions

Sorry if this seems like a dumb question but with this approaching "storm" this weekend is there much chance of being able to swim next week? We arrive Saturday for a week. It's looking like the first half of the week may be a total wash out. By mid week if we get some dry time is it likely we can swim or will water conditions still probably be too dangerous? We've never done a beach trip before and were looking forward to a week of just laying on the beach relaxing and taking dips in the water...

The water should be fine once this storm has passed through. Later in the week should see some sunshine and good water conditions for taking a dip in the Gulf. However, weather prediction is just that, a prediction and it can change with little notice.

Please, please pay attention to the warning flags signifying the rip current risk. 2 people have already lost their lives this year swimming..IT IS NOT WORTH THE RISK!!

As with Mother Nature, we do not know what will happen. Please be mindful of the beach conditions and the flag system put in place to protect you. Information on the flags can be found on our website here: https:/…warning-flags.aspx Also, you can call the city and find out what color flag is flying. It is updated regularly throughout the day. I know there was a drowning in PCB in the last few days. I pray that we just don’t get a bunch of rain in the last half of this upcoming week.
