Flea Markets in the area...

We will be coming down in November and are interested in finding out if there are any flea markets in the area?

Also posted on the Orange Beach forum. Didn't know if anybody had any ideas. Thanks so much!

Thank you both! Is there a name of either so I can google them? Or, do you happen to know when they are open?

The Mobile market is 45..60 minutes away but gives you a chance to see the city. Use the old tunnel and go up Government to Airport Blvd. Follow the airport signs

The 59 market is just north of Foley..you will see it on the way in

Thanks...that isn't too far ;) Is it a good flea market? Lots of different things? We are "something out of nothing" kind of people. LOVE to find treasures that we can turn into something else or repurpose ;) Kids always get excited to go because it feels like a treasure hunt for them.

Ask about it on the Mobile forum. It has been a few years since we were there

Some free or cheap things to do between GS and Mobile om US 98:

outdooralabama.com/public-lands/…

http://www.alapark.com/meaher/

http://www.ussalabama.com/ Park is free ...just look at the ship

Buy a crabnet at walmart...small round one buy a piece of cheap raw chicken

tie in the bottom...at the seawall near the battleship..throw in the water to the bottom and catch crab. ... this article says to use bait from Walmart that's ok too. www.bluecrab.info/forum/index.php… This will work in Little Lagoon too

Be sure to find Billies Seafood in Bon Secour and have them steam some dhrimp for you. The best BBQ is Down South BBQ at 59 and County rd 10 about a 100 ft up 10 from the intersection The best fried shrimp is at Market by the bay in Fairhope on 98
