Since you are already staying at Gulf State Park be sure to bring or rent bikes and check out the Back Country Trails which are a lot of fun to bike or walk. There is also a great fishing pier at the park worth visiting and fishing from - it is one of the longest piers on the Gulf of Mexico. The park also has a brand new zip line course that looks like a lot of fun. I would imagine that dolphin cruises will be running then, but call Cold Mill Fleet to find out. Other fun things are the Gulf Shores Zoo and the Orange Beach Arts Center. There are also several amusement parks, arcades, and mini-golf places. You can also hike through the beautiful Bon Secour Wildlife Refuge or tour historic Fort Morgan. The water may be too cold for swimming or paddle boarding but you may have some good sunny days for the beach.

A side trip to Pensacola to the Naval Air Museum would be a good way to spend a rainy day.Lots to see and do- and admission is free. There's a charge for the flight simulators, but they're well worth it.

Down Under Dive Ship does kayak and paddleboard trips but not sure if they are doing them in November.

Night crabbing on the beach is a huge hits with our kids. You need a flashlight, crab night, and small ice chest. Can't beat it.

If it's warm enough, boogie boards & skim boards are loads of fun for kids that age.

Adventure Island right down from the state park - has putt-putt golf, go-carts, lazer tag & an arcade.

The Track also has similar things with bungle jumping & bumper boats.

There is a bowling alley & Movie theater in Gulf Shores.

The Wharf - has shopping, Movie theater, and a huge Ferris wheel.
