This is not true trust me..... Calungute is manic no one can get away from that but it is like all busy areas on the outskirts its fab, never had sewrage probs (unless you can count cow dung!!!) no malaria problems (except in the monsoon season which its not!!")

Osbourne is most def on outskirts stayed there for 4 years and loved it really good area to stay central but not manic -trust me you will be back next year/

Osborne basic as the majority of hotels in North are but clean and hey if you dont like it complain and get moved to a better room ( either end of big swimming pool are like flats ( this where we always stayed whilst those with Hayes and Jarvis had pokey rooms but with a/c)

Enjoy and good luck we now rent apartments

just left calangute, called in to Osbourne as I am staying there in March. No sewrage, no talk of malaria, and in your room bankrupt, no mirror anymore and the castors on the bed have been replaced with bricks. ;)
