BOOZE ban in goa

WORD OF WARNING . BOOZE BAN IN EFFECT.lose fo

as from 25th january 2012. all bars and restaurents have to close for 11 pm.

as from 5th febuary 2012 all bars and restaurents have to close for 10 pm for month running up to local elections..

as of today shops selling booze are having to close at 4pm.

we have just been up to menzies in calangute to buy case beers and bottle vodka was told they had phone call from goverment minister , stating that they had to shut up there shop , the young lady said she didnt know if it was for one day or month they will get a phone call tomorro telling them when can open all shops are being told this.

this is starting to get to lots tourist as when bars run dry cause they cant buy any what are we gonna drink.

were over here now it was on goa news on tv that from 25th jan to 5th feb all bars to close 11pm then from 5th feb 10 pm every night till elections are over,

we went to buy case kings beers today and was told they had run out and goverment are monitoring supply and sales of alchol ,

its wrong that you get kicked out of the bars or they loose there licence

We are going to Kerala first and then Goa. Any reason we wouldn't be able to bring our own vodka or rum from Kerala? Would the beach shacks use it to make us cocktails if they were out of alcohol?

Well all I can say is....I feel sorry for those that are there or going but so glad we have just come back...There will be some cheap holidays next year for February and early March when its election time again..cos no one will want to go.
