Aldy Hotel

We are planning on staying at Aldy Hotel. Any opinions on this hotel? Is it near the interesting sites in Melaka? Thanks in advance!

Hi Achie,

While I personally have not stayed here, its location is unbeatable, right in the middle of historic and shopping area.

It is a small 2 stars hotel with a restaurant and bar in the ground floor.

We ate in the bar/ restaurant below the hotel only last week and it is one of the livelier and nicer places in Melaka with a great singer / guitarist playing most evenings. Location is perfect and right in the heart of the historical and museum centre of the town. Unfortunately we did not see any of the hotel rooms and cannot comment on that side of things.

Hi, whilst you are planning on staying at this hotel,of which the location is very strategic, to allow you to hot foot to the interesting sights in malacca, including taking the Malacca river cruise, you may also wish to look at Hotel Puri(in the event Aldy hotel is fully booked)-which really gives you a good glimpse into Malacca culture and heritage-with its architecture and is also near the interesting sights of Malacca.

Stayed there before. Its a fairly nice place, clean and comfortable, had no complaints. The location is terrific, great inclusive breakfast and roof top BBQ.

They also have wi-fi set up if you are taking a laptop/notebook.

Right next to the tourist police office.

If you are there on a sunday morning you can join the locals running up the hill to the fort. Great views from the top.
