Hi STR17,

I went to Garden City Serviced Apartment, Melaka last weekend. The rooms are clean, the swimming pool is great for kids. However, be fore warned with the check in and check out procedure. They take 8-10 minutes per customer and that means if you have 4 ppl queuing in front of you, you'll have to wait for +-30 minutes. Last weekend was their peak time I guest, so had to wait longer than that.

I booked the luxury rooms, and we have the balkony facing the swimming pool. The accessories are not luxurious though... medium sized thin towels, a bar of small May soap and a packet of shampoo for each bathroom (so we have to share loh), broken handles of water heater, slow water pressure, no astro and the tv reception is not that clear as well.

It is a place to stay if you plan to sleep and swim. BTW There are so many other historical spots and tourist attraction to visit around the apartment, keep yourself entertained out there and then come back to the bedroom too tired to watch tv. At least, their rooms are clean and spacious.

Hi

Since Malacca is a short stay holiday destination, there is little market for holiday apartments. You may want to book two adjoining or connecting rooms in central location like Equatorial or Holiday Inn.

Apartment is good if you are staying for a few days, so you want a place that feels like home with your family. With many cheap food and sightseeing or shopping to do in your short stay in Malacca, a well located hotel with comfy bed is recommended.
