Hee kiaw noodle

Hi! Read about the nice Teo Heng Hee Kiaw noodle at Wong Fook Food Court near Grand Continental Hotel Melaka. What are their business hours like? Are they opened for lunch? Anyone tried it? Is it really good? I googled but not sure if they are open for lunch. Any other nice food to recommend?

Hi

Teo Heng Hee Kiaw Noodle and the food court is only open from 6pm to 12am. There is no lunch serving unfortunately.

The hee kiaw store is located in the middle section of the left side of the food court as you approach it from car park. The seafood store second or third from the front of left side serving stir fried seafood is good for La La or any stir fry. They sell Singapore style hock kien mee on the sign.

On the right hand side of the food court, The last few stores serving duck rice and the next store serving double boiled soup (popular dish: nyonya style sambal fish) are good choices.

Thanks Alex for the detailed information. Was thinking of going there for lunch when we drove in from NS highway. Maybe we will go there next time. We Will be staying in Holiday Inn, any nice Hee kiaw noodle around there? Or at Melaka Raya, Jonker's St?

Hi abcd,

I think in Jonker Walk market, the store selling Yong Tau Foo with hee kiaw and laksa on the main street outside a clan association is nice.

Most of others in Jonker street are commercialised. Newton food court in Jalan Parameswara (between from Equatorial to the old prison that bring you back to Melaka Raya) has good hawker food but if you drive, you can go to wong fook too which is only 15mins away via Jalan bunga raya or bukit china (chinese cemetary hill).

Hi Alex! Thanks for the recommendation. I think we have tried the Yong Tau Foo and we quite like it. I also read about another one at Tan Cheng Lock, Oriental Cafe. Will probably try that. I hope it is nice. Look forward to eating all the yummy food in Melaka. Thanks again for all the helpful replies. Merry X'mas and Happy Year 2011.
