Melaka to Geman to catch jungle train

I need to travel the 90km from Melaka to Geman to catch the 09:15 jungle train. The first quote I got said it would take 3 hours and cost RM400 and the second one said 2 hours and cost RM200.

Does anyone know of a reliable firm I can contact to arrange the transfer?

If you have any idea of how long it should take and roughly what it should cost that would also be very helpful information.

Many thanks

Rm 400 is cut throat price.

Very easy to get Public transport from Malacca to Gemas no booking required.

Malacca to GEMAS is about 2-3 hours >>depends on traffic condition.

If the driver knows about the short cut from mile 7 Jementah to Batu Anam then a half hours journey is saved ,if not than via Segamat(slightly longer distance.)

If you had the time, take the express bus from Malaka to Segamat, them taxi from Segamat to Gemas

Allow for 3 hour journey

a)By express bus >Malake to Segamat 2 hours+(Rm20)

b)Segamat to Gemas by taxi 30 -40 (Rm20)

c)Alternately Segamat to Gemas by normal bus(Same station as you arrive at Segamat Bus station.for about Rm5)>>must arrive before 6pm>>local bus non air -con

As long as you arrive before 6pm at Segamat then all is well, after 6pm then difficult to catch a taxi or bus
