One of the best place to snorkel is a Botaira Beaach Resort in the Yasawas. Marin Sanctuary reef just off beach. Path to reef through shallows at low tide. Read the reviews on this site. Comfortable but basic resort, Fijian owned and managed, amazing staff will entertain the children . They won't be bored. Online booking offers great rates.

Not much information. What else do you expect from the place you stay? Pool, A/C, 24hr power, kids club etc, etc......... What time of year and how long are you staying? Budget? The list goes on. The more you can tell us, the more appropriate the recommendations will be.

Thanks-- looks ideal.

One review said not a place for kids - meals and activities could be late or cancelled.

Our boys 8/10 would be delighted to just do things with the staff and the 5 yr old girl would happily tag along.

Your note seemed to indicate something like this approach?

Would love a bit more on your kids experience, please,

Ruth

August 08-12.

We are very flexible as to facilities and price - been to Fiji many times since 1973 - as couple, small family, 3 generation etc

As long as the kids are happy, food good and coral super - we would be happy.

When we have been to Botaira and there have been children theer the staff have gone out of their way to entertain them. Especially Amini, he is so good with kids. We took two of our grand children during school holidays and we never saw them, children from the village came over and they had so much fun playing with them.

I'm Grandma and talking to the boys 8/10 - they really want lots of other kids around -to do activities with.

Anyone know a place apart from Treasurse, with a good kids club and with good snorkelling for the grandparents?

Try Mana or Castaway. Both are excellent family resorts. Mana a little cheaper than Treasure - Castaway a lot more expensive. There may be more options available if you let us know when you are travelling, how long for and what your nightly budget is.

August t8-12th

The cost is less important than the two groups being well catered for [[kids - good activities and plenty of kids and Grandparents-good and close snorkelling] but would want it in middle range hopefully.

thanks for your help

Have a look at Castaway - if it's over budget, we'll see what else we can come up with :) It really is quite lovely but you DO pay for it......... situation is just a bit dicey at the moment post cyclone and many places we would normally recommend (such as Treasure) are closed for long periods.
