drinking water

Hello,

Going to Malolo in November and wondering if the water on the island needs to be treated prior to drinking or is it advisable to bring own bottled water from Nadi.

Thanks

Bula Alarnold,

I am the director of sales & marketing for Malolo Island Resort. Our water is desalinated and perfectly safe to drink. You can also purchase bottled water at the resort.

Kind regards,

We always purchase and drink bottled water.

While usually safe in most places, the alternative can ruin a holiday somewhat...

Hi there,

We stayed in Malolo in May last year.... I had purchased water at Denarau because water is quite expensive to purchase at the hotel...

Hi Tinajazz,

Thanks for reply

Apparantly the water on the resort has been desalinated ,so safe to drink.

Did you only drink bottled water?

I will take some from the mainland though considering price.

Cheers

There is no need to purchase bottled water for Malolo -- as Samantha advised in Post # 1, they have a desalination plant on the island and their water is perfectly safe to drink -- I've drunk it many times with never a problem.

Enjoy - you'll love it ^^
