Will our 6 & 3 year old boys be bored?

We were looking at going to Mana for 7 nights, but are possibly changing our mind & opting for Navini instead (the snorkeling sounds better). Will our boys be bored while we are out snorkeling or will the staff have enough activities organinsed to keep them entertained? I know there is no kids club there.

Hi Hooked On Fiji

You mentioned about reef sharks cruising the shoreline, do they bite? and would it be safe to swim with the kids just out in front of the bures? Can't imagine swimming with sharks and feeling relaxed about it.

Hi Hooked On Fiji

I forgot to ask whether it is suitable to just have fun in the shallows out front of the bures. A couple of reviewers have mentioned that it is qutie rocky & not suitable for swimming and that they wouldn't take children. Just wondering how our kids would get on splashing around. Would they get ripped apart by the rocks etc. Are there certain areas of the island where the beach is nicer & do you know which bure numbers are closest?

Hi Buster123NZ

The baby sharks are about 1 foot long and they take off when you put a foot in the water and no they don't bite they are reef sharks and harmless.

The sand can shift from one side of the island to the other due to winds and currents, & big seas. There is always beach but it can get rocky in the water if one side has lost sand. You can always move to the other side to swim, it is such a small island this is no big deal. When we were there last it was perfect on the southern but I have heard that after the cyclone it is now the north side which is better. Some resorts aren't this lucky and lose the beach altogether at times. It should not be a problem at high tide anyway on either beach to have fun in the shallows.
