Botaira Resort

Bula fellow travelers,

We seem to have encountered a pattern with resorts in the Yasawas where an accomodation is booked, then later changed to accomodate other guests, and a less desirable room is subsituted at essentially the same rate. Is this normal business there?

Has anyone had experience with the Botaira Resort?

You will have no problem with your accomodation booking at Botaira --- have you booked directly with them?? They are very efficient in their bookings and get back quickly on email enquiries.

All their rooms are huge and Ase comes daily to change bed linen etc which was a surprise to me for the price of the accomodation. Take a torch for when the power goes off thru the night.

The snorkelling is the best I've experienced in Fiji -- can't wait to go back ~

We've never had that problem ever in Fiji as we book direct with resorts, usually via email and keep in touch with them even confirming again a day before we leave home.

If you use a Travel Agent you need to specifically confirm with them your room preference.

Never been to Botaira, but BaySydney's advice is very reliable and sincere, as she's stayed there.

all the best

Botaira is a family run resort and highly regarded in the TA community. I always book direct with any accommodation whenever possible. It adds to the 'family' effect during your stay and is appreciated by the locals.

We are coming up for our 10th visit to Botaira and have never had an issue like you mention. It is basic but on a gorgeous beach with amazing off the beach snorkeling great staff, so much fun and very friendly. Fijian owned and run and built by the local villagers so it is rustic. The torch tip is a good one. Like Bay Sydney we love it for its simplicity a real Fijian Experience. We always bioik direct you get great specials through the website.
