Many just call Yatai Shenghui the Science and Technology subway market for that is where it is, at the Line 2 stop.

It seems to be larger than ever in indoor comfort. The sellers are aggressive, and you should keep smiling as you bargain for items.

Remember that this market may try to sell you knock-offs which are illegal and violate copyright protection in China and elsewhere. There have been crackdowns on the warehouses of wholesalers to get this stuff off the market, but the raids seem to not make much difference.

If you buy too many of one item, your customs may regard this as importing for resale. In that case, expect confiscation in the least. The workmanship of these items ranges from lousy to excellent, so you must examine carefully and do not accept the switch scam where they offer you a "factory fresh" sealed package instead of the item you have examined. Buy only that which you can and do examine carefully. All sales final, and no returns or exchanges of course.

I go there to buy generic items, like silk shirts (some fake polyester there) and leather wallets, no matter the brands and logos. The items are much cheaper than in the U.S.
