Airport Transportation

Does this sound like a good transportation plan for 4 adults and 2 kids?

When traveling from the airport (PVG) to the Pudong hotel district (Grand Hyatt) reserve the hotel van and driver to pick us up at the airport and drive to hotel. Logic: reduce hassles of waiting in line for taxis at Maglev station and me not speaking Mandarin.

When going back to the airport, take a hotel arranged van to the Maglev and then jump on the maglev to the airport. Logic: Get to the airport fast.

Sure it works but you don't need to speak mandarin. Just get the hotel name and address from the hotel website to show the driver.

Apart from hotel chinese name, you'd better show the taxi driver the hotel telephone number. keep touching with your hotel on the way.

Hi Profguy,

Actually. That's the best thing to do if the taxi fare is not an option. And you're on a vacation for crying out loud! :-D Yes, let them do the work for you and just pay them. It's the Grand Hyatt anyway.

Enjoy your stay in Shanghai!
