Train to Hong Kong

Would like to get train from Shanghai to Hong Kong for 2 people travelling in Deluxe Soft Sleeper leaving on the 22nd August?

Is this realistic or would the tickets have been sold out ages ago? If not, what is the best way to get a ticket?

I arrive in Beijing on the 13th August, getting to Shanghai on the 19th August.

I think that this may be a challenge. Note that you can fly for about $100 with Spring Airlines.

You can also buy ticket till Shenzen. Shenzen station is just short walk away from the border. On the other side take MTR, which is also close to the border. There are two trains per day from Shanghai South station. Leave around lunch time and arrive in early morning. If you travel by train, bring your own food.
