Honeymoon help! Choosing between two hotels

I'm going to Costa Rica in January. I was set on staying at the Arenal Nayara Hotel & Gardens, but now I've seen the The Springs Resort and Spa at Arenal and that looks amazing too.

Which one would you recommend?

Its very difficult both of them are great hotels with and exellent service.

The springs have more activities and facilities on the property.

The Springs Resort without a doubt is the niccer and luxurious one. Arenal Nayara is excellent but The Springs is a lot better

Dear dizzy..

Congratulations...if you are looking for a nice romantic place Arenal Nayara...I drove there so many happy couples...and most of them just love the place...

If you are into fake flowers...fiber glass rocks and a very much Disney kind of hotel...choose the other one!

Some Travel Agents like the prior post...they like the other hotel ...we do respect any body opinions..some times we not shared it but is part of life!

My vote Arenal Nayara...100% own by costaricans...

Arenal Nayara. The Springs is really nice too, but it has a American resort feel to it. Nayara is more of a boutique hotel. I also think the rooms at Nayara are much nicer. My suggestion is to stay at Arenal Nayara and buy a 2 day pass to The Springs. We had a great evening at the springs- dinner overlooking the volcano, hot springs, and the best part of all was seeing the ocelots!

I agree that Arenal Naraya is much more natural. No "Disneyland" feel to it. I would always choose to stay there.

If it matters - The Springs is located pretty far from La Fortuna, up a winding gravel road that can be a bit intimidating in the rain or fog.

My vote goes to Nayara. Small, boutique hotel. You can always visit the Springs, two day pass is 40/pp. You can also dine there. I just thought that Nayara was more intimate and a lot closer to town.
