dinner in November

I know Tabacon's restaurants are overpriced, but after paying for a taxi/cab roundtrip for 4 ppl, is it worth the drive to and from town to go eat 1 night's dinner in La Fortuna?

If so, then what restaurants would be recommended for a group of vegetarians looking for a nice meal (in honor of Thanksgiving) in November? Italian, Costa Rican, Asian/Thai cuisines are all fine.

Thanks

Soda El Rio ($2-$5 pp)

Soda La Parada - Off of main street opposite to Park ($1- $4 pp)

Musmanni shops ( Bakery Food for Snadwiches)

Restaurants:

===========

1. Los Nenes Restaurant

2. La Choza de Laurel

3. Don Rufino Restaurant

4. Lava Lounge

5. Lava Rock

I'd like to eat mom and pop authentic Tico/Tica food places..its more fun and less touristy and also you get to meet the locals as well...thats why I'd go for posadas..

cheers
