We are flying in to Liberia Christmas evening. We made reservations to stay the night near the airport due to our late arrival. We plan to wake up, go back to the airport to get our rental car, and drive to Samara for 4 nights (apx 3 hour drive?). We would like to go to Ostional to see turtles while we are there. Unfortunately our 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice accommodations were already booked even though we were 6 months out. We ended up making reservations at Casa Del Mar in Samara which is across the street from the beach and still close to town. We check out on December 30th and have reservations January 2nd for 3 nights to stay at Tulemar in Manuel Antonio. We will check out of Tulemar on January 5th, drive to San Jose, stay in a hotel across from the airport and fly out of San Jose on January 6th early in the morning. We have 3 nights in between Samara and Manuel Antonio. I would love any advice on where to go. We have 2 kids (5 and 15). We are thinking about Santa Teresa but is that too much driving? If we do stay in Santa Teresa, would we drive from Samara to Nicoya to Paquera and over to Santa Teresa? Seems like it might be too much driving? It also looks like it might be a long drive from Santa Teresa to Manuel Antonio. We are adventurous though and if Santa Teresa would be a good addition to our trip, we'd be up for it. Thank you so much.
