Entering Liberia there is a Jumbo supermarket on the right hand side just before the intersection.

As you approach the intersection, you will see a hotel - Best Western El Sitio - on your right. The right turn into the shopping center for the Jumbo is very close to that. The Jumbo, as its name implies, is a very large supermarket and should be able to supply everything you need.

Another vote for the Jumbo. Great place to load up on supplies before you head out.

You can stock up at the Mas x Menos in Alajuela (the airport is located in Alajuela). Just ask directions from your rental car office - it's not far.
