Uncrowded Beach - Kayaking and Surfing

I am planning a trip to Costa Rica in March. I've been once before - to Arenal, Manuel Antonio, and Punta Islita - and we're hoping to see all new things this time. We will likely spend several days on the Osa Penninsula and a couple of days near Rincon de la Vieja enjoying the park and the hot springs. We'd also like to spend a few days on the beach - somewhere that isn't too crowded where we can take a kayaking tour, take a surf lesson (we've never been), swim, and enjoy good food. Any suggestions for a place on the Nicoya Penninsula (or elsewhere) that fits that description? Thank you!

Playa Guiones and Playa Pelada, Nosara. This beach is very long, about 2 miles, and not very crowded at all, compared to other beaches, its almost empty.

You can take surf lessons and a Kayak tour on the Rio Nosara and through the mangroves.

www.nicoyapeninsula.com This website has a lot of good information about the Pacific beaches. There are several that are good for surfing and not crowded. Playa Avellena and Playa Negra are both tiny towns with nice beaches and good surfing.
