You will be at the best place to shop around for a good boat...Coco´s beach plenty boats...a lot better than try to find somebody by Internet

Take a look here: http://www.costarica-familytours.com/

But I agree with roadadvisor. Once you are in Playas del Coco, look around, ask around and you will find the right boat. Wherever you are staying, they should be able to help you with this also.

Thanks for the info, we are driving from SJO to Coco, do either of you know a good hotel. I will not drive at night in Costa Rica on a road, I do not know. So we plan to stop after 3Hours and before it gets dark.

Thanks again for the info!

What time do you arrive so we will know where to recommend someplace to stop and a hotel.

Do you think you will be on the road at around 2 pm?

OK. With three hours driving, you should be close to Canas. There are a couple of choices there: Hotel Canas is near the center of town with easy access to shopping, banking, restaurants and a non-touristy Costa Rican small city.

Just north of Canas is La Pacifica. More expensive than Hotel Canas but in a beautiful jungle-like setting.

Each of these hotels has their own restaurant. The Hotel Canas restaurant is more plain but very popular in Canas. La Pacifica restaurant is more pricey but really excellent.

Canas is about an hour south of Liberia and about 1.45 hours from Playas del Coco - maybe a little less.

Honestly I will said that you can make it all the way to Coco´s...Target office is in Rio Segundo about 10 minutes from SJO..if you guys move fast with the rental papers you will be around Liberia by 6 or 7pm...maybe Hotel El Bamadero...just 45 minutes from Coco´s beach!

But also Hattie suggestion is a good one...you can spend the night in Cañas...and nice place not that expensive La Pacifica.

You could use these guys;

Or the Marlin Negro;

marlinnegrofishingtours.com/directions.php

There really are several different ways to get to Witch's and Ollie's, I guess it depends on how much time you want to spend there, how fast you want to get there and what kind of luxuries you want your boat ride to have.

These are just 2 examples of the types of boats available to rent for the half day, full day or multiple day. Each one has their benefits and prices to fit your budget.
