Mosquito situation

Off to Playas del Coco tomorrow and I'm wondering if I need to use a repellant with DEET or if the mosquitos have calmed down recently. I like to get away with a natural one if I can. Thanks!

Bring or buy some in Costa Rica and use it.

For something natural: I actually used something from REI that was just citronella, and that worked well for us. I would prefer to avoid the chemicals when I can.

Talk about local insects....someone here in Coco makes Green Screen Insect repellent. This is what Coco smells like around sunset time!

Green Screen is a natural insect repellent made from a combination of plant extracts for multi-layered protection against a variety of biting insects. It's effective, hypo-allergenic and non-toxic for you and the environment.
