Maybe the best is to find a taxi and offer them a round trip service...but ask them to give you a good deal...since is round trip!

If you're not in a hurry, try the public bus. We rode them to Flamingo and Brasilito last year and it was a great way to see the countryside and a few places off the beaten tourist path (don't worry if it suddenly turns off onto a side road because it's just going to pick up passengers and will turn right around). They're clean and fairly comfortable, although they aren't air conditioned. I forget exactly what it cost, but it was only about $3-4 each for the round trip. You will probably have to transfer in Huacas, and you may have to wait a half hour or more for the connection, but there are shops and sodas where you transfer so you can get a snack or a drink while you're waiting. The driver or other passengers can help you with any questions about the schedule, but it's a very good idea to be able to speak some Spanish as we didn't encounter any English speakers when we went. Hope this helps, and hope you have a great time while you're down there!
