trip planning

we will be 4 adults and a little girl 2 years old. Our first time in CR for 2 weeks. Need advices for planning the trip. Please.

Best place to stay? Bungalow with kitchenette, groceries nearby?

Do we need renting a car, move around and get back every day or change bungalow??

Need vaccins to go to CR ?

Many thanks

No vaccines needed for Costa Rica. A rental car would be your best bet, and you will need to change locations as they are not close to each other.

Get a guide book, or search this forum, maybe read several trip reports (see first two sticky post) then come back with more Q.

Here is a good taxi in town http://pdqtaxi.com/

You need to plan a day trip on maybe an overnight at Rincon de la Vieja Volcano, an active volcano that is very close to Tamarindo and to the airport. Lots of wildlife and waterfalls and nature.

1 - A good way to start a tour is taking clear that parts of Costa Ricas wish you to know, there are many outstanding and unique locations, including:

The old Wedland, this is a tour in Palo Verde National Park, there is the largest waterfowl in the world is magical and the only tour that features unique traditions and customs in our country.

-Marlin del Rey, is a very beautiful tour 6 h at sea on a long boat, also have food and drinks open open view at sunset at sea and have free snorking. (Both are one-day tours are very close of the town)

2-The best places to stay in Tamarindo serious here:

-BEST WESTERN Tamarindo Vista Villas

(All these places are very good, just need to consult the price which is coupled to its economy, both have a kitchen)

3 - if you travel a lot, and you know many places that would be good growth of the car, but in other circumstances it is better to pay the tour included tranport is cheaper to fill the gas tank to a car.

4 - to my knowledge not need vaccines, but I think you should ask first.
