Honeymoon in Costa Rica. Want beaches. Any advice?

Planning a honeymoon in Costa Rica for December or January. Want to stay in a B&B near nice beaches. Any advice? Which airports should we choose when booking plane tickets? Thank you.

Depending on how long the trip is I suggest you do 2 locations. Arenal Volcano and then a beach location like Manuel Antonio or Tamarindo area. The volcano area can be very romantic with the hot springs and spas. Hotel Nayara is very nice, not a B&B but very romantic. If you fly into San Jose i suggest Manuel Antonio and if its Liberia you fly into then Tamarindo.

Cheers and Congrats

Yes...great combination Arenal Volcano...staying at Arenal Nayara then Manuel Antonio as Inca is suggesting!

No problema to travel to and from those places...you can rent a car...take shuttles or hire priate drivers!

You can fly In and Out of SJO...cheaper air fare...and driving times no long ...

roadadvisor

Just buckle up and enjoy the ride in PARADISE!

As Roadadvisor said, no problema, it is safe. If you feel a little uncomfortable driving on foreign roads hire a private driver. Let someone chauffeur you from place to place for your trip.

Cheers

If you take a Nature Air flight once in Costa Rica, then you can go anywhere. Tambor is pretty nice because the ocean is nice and calm. Samara has a bohemian art community. Puerto Viejo has a Caribbean flavor. Tamarindo has awesome beaches, restaurants and night life.

I highly recommend LaMansion in Quepos, the beach is a little walk from the Hotel but the views are well worth it and the beaches are relatively vacant. My wife and I had our Honeymoon in October and hit 3 different areas in Costa Rica and this was by far the best!!

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding and honeymoon.

For B&B's and boutique like hotels,Costa rica is one of the best for that for sure!

Here are a few suggestions:

San Jose: Casa Bella Rita

Arenal: Nayara, Mountain Paradise

Monteverde: El Establo, El Sapo Dorado

Manual Antonio: Makanda by the Sea

Tamarindo: Capitan Suizo, Suenos del Mar, Villa Alegro

Hope this helps,
