Mal Pais Activites

Will be leaving next week for my honeymoon in Mal Pais. Just some last minute questions. First, since we will be staying at Casa Chameleon, where and how far is a good private beach? Which direction, South towards Cabo Blanco or North towards Santa Teresa? We aren't really suffers, but would just like to walk and swim along a nice beach that doesn't have a lot of people around. I herd that during the week the beaches are even more deserted, this true? Should we drive our rental car to the beach or should we rent ATVs, if we do take our car, where do we park? If we rent ATVs, I've herd the dust on the road is terrible. Also, if we want to take a day trip to Isla Tortuga, where should we go, and about how much does it costs? Thanks for all your help, and sorry for all the questions.

Weekends are very busy on the beaches, so there is little privacy unless you head up to Playa Hermosa and north. Lots of beach to walk forever on up that way.

Make sure you don't leave anything in the car and you can park anywhere along the roads or along the beach. Please don't drive on the beach. Turtles have nesting sites in the area and many people recklessly drive over the nests and park quads on them.

Casa Chameleon can direct you to any of the local companies for Isla Tortuga trips.

Enjoy your time in the area. Congrats!
