Any recent experiences with Villas el Parque?

Hi all -- I thought I had my accommodations for March all settled, but I'm starting to rethink (trying to save money now that my retirement fund is quickly dwindling!)

I currently have reservations at Villa Roca. I mainly booked this place because of the views, the great reviews, and pretty good rates. But, I'm thinking we might want a kitchen also, now (to help further limit expenses). Villa Roca does have rooms with kitchens, but they're pretty pricey. I might contact them and see if they can give a rate discount, but in the meantime...

I'm considering an apartment at Hotel Villas el Parque. I know about Villas Nicolas and Costa Verde also, but, honestly, the prices at Villas el Parque are pretty impossible to beat -- especially considering there's still a pretty good view.

Has anyone stayed there recently? Any opinions?

I'm specifically looking at a unit there called Bella Vista -- it's individually owned and managed.

My only concerns about Villas el Parque -- just from looking at photos -- is that it looks sort of ugly (not a lot of trees; maybe a bit too close to the main road; maybe noisy?). This may not matter so much if they give me a good rate, but the surroundings are definitely a consideration.

Thanks for your help!

Forever undecided...

Hi Plumboy,

Are you still shopping?? Stay with Villa Roca, have never heard a bad word about it in 10 yrs. Villas del Parque is exactly as you describe it in your post. Not bad, good for views, and easy to walk to restaurants, casinos, etc. But you can do the same with Villa Roca, and have a better ambiance, so I say stay there. Enjoy!
