Mango Moon, Costa Verde or The Falls resort

Well there are 5 of us with 2 20ish daughter and boyfriend. We know the construction at The Falls resort is happening but the price is only $70 per night king bed and heard the noise was not that bad and does not start until 8 or 9. Seems Costa Verde is in a great location with more people around and closer to the park, $260 NIGHT for 2 large rooms. Mango moon has a 2 bedroom suite available for $185. Question is the beach better at Costa Verde than the one at Mango moon? Can you walk to any stores, restaurants ect from any? thanks, going in 10 days.

The three hotels are very well located to restaurants and the grocery store. Costa verde doesn´t have beach access, you can walk from it to the main beach, about 10 minutes down the hill, be carefull in the road. Mango Moon hads access to a small beach about 15 minutes walk in a muddy trail, the beach isn´t private for the hotel. Beach isn´t something you ready need to consider to choose the best hotel, everybody goes to the main beach or the ones inside the National park. NATUREGUIDE

The two bedroom suite at Mango Moon only has an air conditioner in the back bedroom (with two day beds). If you close the door between the two rooms, the front room doesn't get any air conditioning, and if you leave it open, it only gets a little air conditioning from the ceiling unit in the back. They quoted and charged us $195 plus tax for the $185 suite. Still trying to figure that out.

There is beach acess no beach at any of your hotels

great views short walk to the main beach...

Really liked www.costaverde.com The Penthouse CV2

which is adults only with private pool

views to foerever over the park plenty of room for 5

short walk with monkeys down the hill to the beach

Paid $150/nt last July was well worth it...

The Falls best value for $70 nice little further away

views not as good but up on a hill OK

www.mangomoon.net also nice view not as good...

So for me for price The Falls for view CV2

have fun,

Of the hotels you list, none are near beach access, but it is easy and fast to catch the public bus which passes every 30 minutes or so and is really cheap. Walking is hard on the narrow, steep winding mountain road from most all hotels, except maybe Verde Mar and Karahe (the later is not near restaurants). Describing your group, I think you would probably be happiest at Costa Verde, depending on the rooms you get, or you may want to consider Byblos or Verde Mar, which are also right down the street or right near the ocean. Falls is giving that great deal, as the construction is huge and right next door....maybe not the best choice right now. Mango Moon is more B&B with older folk or honeymooners, so that might cramp your style. All are close walking distance to other restaurants, etc, so that is no big deal for you.

Thanks for all the input. Does Mango Moon have monkeys come down to visit and other wildlife? Maybe the Falls now with the Construction will not have much wildlife? Leaning toward Mango Moon for the price. Thanks

I've stayed at Costa Verde II twice, the first time 9 years ago and most recently in February of this year.

The views are truly spectacular, the wildlife abundant and the staff very professional. Nice restaurant on the premises and several nature trails throughout the 30 acre compound (two other restaurants nearby are owned by the hotel).

CVII has huge rooms with a kitchenette but no AC, if that's important to you (there is plenty of cross-ventalation). The rooms are a bit spartan, but clean and comfortable. The adults only pool is very nice.
