Looking for a villa in MA

Hi all - I have 6 people (ages 34-70) that will be going to Costa Rica for a week around thanksgiving in 2011. Need help finding a villa. I would like something that has at least 4 bedrooms. More is ok if it gives us all some room to spread out but not necessary. I am looking for luxury and would ideally like something within walking distance (or on the beach) but not necessary if the nicer villas are the ones that are off the beach. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Buena Vista Villas and Casas...Tulemar bungalows...Casa Panorama inside the Tulemar property...some incredible houses or villas in that location...great beach...safe area...of course common sense!

I have stayed at Casa Pura Vida at Vacation Villas with friends and we really enjoyed our stay. We even had a resident sloth in the back yard. This house only had three bedrooms, but they have numerous other properties.

We stayed at Casa Las Ventanas for a week, and I can't say enough great things about it.

It has 4 suites and retractable glass walls that take full advantage of the spectacular views...it's just amazing. It's huge. We saw monkeys, birds, and sloths right from our deck.

There's a little private beach there and it was nice, but kind of rough. We mostly went to the other beaches everyone else goes to (Bisanz and Espadilla, I think they're called -- don't trust my spelling! ;-).

We felt it was very private, but not isolated -- we were close to everything we wanted to do. I learned about Dave at http://www.4tulemar.com here on the TA forum and booked with him. He took care of everything and it seems like he knows everything -- all his recommendations were dead right.

If I could get off work for another week, I'd go back in a heartbeat!

There are so many options in this area, that is a hard question. Best to look on vrbo.com or homeaway.com to narrow down your choices and then we can help you narrow it down further from there. If you want to be the closest to the beach, my first thought is Discovery House. Wherever you pick, I know you will love Manuel Antonio. Enjoy!

Some of the nicer villas feature stunning ocean views but aren't really within walking distance to the beach. Although the drive to the beach would only be about 5 minutes.

I have stayed with Escape Villas twice and they have really amazing luxury villas. Here is their website http://www.villascostarica.com. Casa Nova, the one I stayed in, has 4 bedrooms, a private pool, and is sooooooo pretty! Lots of monkeys too!

We rented Villa El Cantico. It was beautiful, with a stellar staff, including an amazing and charming chef. It is walking distance to two beaches and town, but there are hills involved. Check out their web site.

We had a bad experience with the owner of Casa Pura Paz.. I will leave it at that.

Don't hesitate to ask for specials, and negotiate. There are lots of lovely places available.
