Couple with a baby need accommodation help

Am looking for the perfect place to stay for our trip to Rarotonga in June.

We will be travelling with a 16month old baby and must have a separate room for him to sleep in.

'Muri beach resort' looked perfect...pool, self service, beach front, close to restaurants etc.

Unfortunately their 2 bedroom villas are actually open plan with only a waist height wall, which isn't suitable with our baby (he'll be kept awake with us making dinner/talking etc. in the evening, we have tried before and it didn't work).

Would consider other areas away from Muri but would like to get a babysitter on the odd occasion and head out to restaurant etc. within walking distance so Muri looked like the best place??

Budget is approx $350/night.

Some other places looked good but then saw they don't allow children because of unfenced pools.

Ohhhh, we are in the process of booking Cooks Bay Villas, as we have heard great things. As we will be traveling with our 19 month old, I was pleased to read a nanny is available. What is the cost of the nanny? any other tips you can give us will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Hi Shocress,

I think the nanny is about $15 for 1 child per hour (the nanny looks after the children of the people who own the place while they are at work) They have all requirements for kids highchair and cot on request. They are very helpful so if you need anything just ask. Place is amazing.

Hi

Suggest you look at the reviews for the various places taking most notice of people with multiple reviews. For example, this is the link to the Cooks Bay Villas.

Would also suggest you send a PM to anyone on this thread who is of interest or to anyone who has reviewed any of the other properties mentioned. This way you may be able to contact people who don't necessarily check this forum regularly.
