First trip to the Cook Islands (or really anywhere exciting)

My husband and I are getting ready to book a trip through Costco for February. The deal includes round trip airfare from LA on Air New Zealand and a week(ish) stay at Manuia Beach Resort. I have perused the message boards and it looks like we will love it. Any advice before we pull the trigger?

Kia Orana WM, welcome to the forum.

Go for it! Our culture is exciting, our environment beautiful, and our people are friendly. Manuia Beach is well presented adults-only property, on a nice lagoon setting.

All the best for your plans. Kia manuia.

Kia Orana, WM, Since you are coming all this way and if you can swing it, take a look at adding a week on Aitutaki. CostCo has some nice packages for there also.

If you can swing it, add an extra week and include Aitutaki and/or Atiu. You will love it here! If you only come for a week, you spend two days traveling so you're only here for 5 days, if you stay the extra week, you get a total of 12 days here. Why come all this way and go home wanting more?

If at all possible, book some time in Aitutaki. The lagoon has to be seen to be believed. It's absolutely fabulous. Book a lagoon cruise with Aitutaki Adventures, it should be on everyone's bucket list.
