Seeking Advice on Juneau Excur.- Fly Fishing or Taku Lodge

Hi,

I will be in Juneau for a day in July and have the opportunity to do either the Fly-Out Fly Fishing Adventure or the Taku Lodge Flight & Feast. Both sound really awesome. Anyone have any suggestions or experience with either of these excursions? I've never been fly fishing so it sounds like a great opportunity to try something new, but I heard somewhere that the Taku Flight & Feast is a great experience too.

Any feedback or advice is appreciated.

Thank you!

This won't help much, but both are spectacular experiences. Air time will be about the same, although I'd give a slight edge to the smaller plane used for the fishing excursion.

Most fly fishermen are a bit fanatical, so that makes the decision easy. If you're new to it, but want to try a new experience, the guides are great instructors. On the other hand, the Taku Glacier Lodge is relaxing, entertaining, and a great meal...

Cost associated with both tours is almost purely for airtime in a float plane - one of my favorite ways to travel around here...

Happy Alaska Travels!
