Juneau accommodation

Can anyone recommend the best place for a group of 4 couples to stay for I night on September 19th please. Would you suggest a place within walking distance to downtown?

Thank you

It sounds like these folks are taking a small ship cruise, which leaves from the dock that is right across the street from the recently rehabbed Goldbelt Hotel. Their cruise line probably recommended the Goldbelt, in part because it makes it easier for passengers to get to their ship.

I would suggest several B&Bs that are walking distance from downtown: The Capital Inn near the Capitol, and just across the bridge on Douglas Island, The Beachfront Villa.

The Silverbow Inn might be another choice, just a few blocks from the dock, but they don't have a lot of rooms and tend to be heavily booked.

All 3 of these are reviewed here on TripAdvisor, with links to their websites.

If they stay at the Goldbelt, Avis now has a rental desk in the lobby.

The reason they are probably thinking of Goldbelt is that their small cruise ship dock is across the street.

If they haven't booked yet, they might try the Silverbow Inn, which is only a couple of blocks away from their dock, The Capital Inn, or the Dining Inn, https://thedininginn.com/ which used to be the Mullins House B&B, next to the old Capitol School.
