Bear viewing

We will tour Alaska at the end of June and we want to take a bear-viewing flight out of Kenai. We do not have enough time for the usual 6-8 hours tour, and I heard about Natron Air, which has a 3-hour tour out of Soldotna.

Has anyone heard about Natron and their flight?

Can you recommend any other company which has a short bear-viewing flight in that area?

From the website:

"This flight includes a beach landing in which we will stop and stretch our legs and take pictures of the bears in their natural environment. "

Sorry, to me that is NOT a "bear-viewing" tour. Up to you if you want to spend $375 for what sounds like maybe 15-30 minutes of seeing bears.

There's a reason the other tours all last so much longer....

From my research on Natron what I believe they are best for is the overnight trip that they do to Clark Nat'l Park (Silver Salmon Creek Lodge) for around $750/person: http://www.silversalmoncreek.com/. If you don't have the time, though, this trip doesn't do you much good either.

I have a hard enough time with people going to Brooks Falls for just a full day vs. overnight. I can't imagine a 3 hour tour :-(

Save your money, spend extra time at Denali, go into the park on 2-3 different days. You will see bears. You just need TIME. And Natron Air obviously doesn't give it.
