The places in the Ketchikan Discovery tour can easily and cheaply be visited on foot from the cruise ship. They are about a 20 minute walk from the dock at our city park if you get good directions or a 2 minute cab ride. Pick up a cab on main st. and mission at the cab stand. The Lumberjack show is lots of fun, but corny and canned, though with real lumberjacks...across from the dock. I have been many times with my seven year old and he and I always have fun but it is spendy. If you have a teen, the zipline is probably a must and this I would recommend booking in advance through the ship. If heights are not a problem, the zipline gets rave reviews from visitors. I know the family that runs it and it is first rate. If the rainforest canopy adventure is the hike to the old mill and seeing the reindeer, it is a lovely walk, the guides are incredibly well informed and you might see bears from a distance.

Is the zip line you are talking about listed above?
