Ketchikan .... sea kayaking? AM or PM?

Hi,

Group of 8 have a stop in Ketchikan 10:00 til 6:00 - June 20th. 2 are interested in a sea kayaking tour + joining everyone on a taxi tour (2-3 hrs?) It was suggested I pre-book our planned excursions with the independent companies however II am not quite sure when to time everything. Should we all do the taxi tour first? or let the 2 go kayaking first thing? Also, if it is pouring rain, kayaking may not be as nice but understandably, it is not refundable. A couple of the gang would also like to see the Lumberjack show before returning to the ship.

Any thoughts or suggestions? (I know... we are a complicated group! LOL)

Thank you.

I would kayak first and taxi tour later as a relaxation after exercise. You don't want to worry about rain. The kayak guides have great rain gear and actually you might have calmer waters and see more wildlife on a rainy day than on a sunny day when the winds typically whip up. The Lumberjack show is steps away from where Southeast Sea Kayaks boards for trips and they have several performances a day in covered, heated seating, so again, save for later in the day and enjoy!

Thanks so much for your reply. Looks like we have everything sorted out for the day .... knowing the kayaking & L. J. show are not far apart will make meeting up easier.
