sapa packages help

am travelling very soon and still trying to work out the sapa leg. have a quote from a Hanoi hotel which includes train, hotel, homestay. all up 2 nights as well as the train trip. $205 per person. isn't that expensive?

does anyone have other contacts who could put this leg together for us?

well, you haven't said which train, which carriage, which type of cabin or which hotel, so, it's all depending on those things.

for example, a return trip on the King Express in the 2 berth vip cabin (deluxe) cost us approx $110 pp a year ago.

Check Handspan Travel, we used them for our trip to Sapa and it worked out well. We paid a bit over $200.00 per person, but we stayed at the lovely Topas Ecolodge for 2 nights (plus a night each way on the train)for a total of 4 nights. One night with a home stay would be mucher cheaper. Remember when you are quoteed 3 nights, that 2 of those nights are spent on the overnight train. Add another night in Sapa (or surrounding area) You won't regret it.
