recommendations for somewhere to eat please

Hi. I am in Dalyan now and looking for somewhere nice for a meal this evening that won't break the bank! 10 of us including two small children so a wide and varied menu is needed. Thanks in advance :-)

What is the reason for your one line answers Koswold? If you don't want to participate in helping and advising people to get the best out of their visit to a Dalyan, then don't bother.

The 10 top questions re- eating and drinking provides just general information on food and drink and doesn't give peoples personal experiences of the different restaurants etc:

It would be a pretty boring forum if the answer to every posters questions was one like yours. It is the friendliness of the Dalyan forum that makes it so good. I for one really appreciate the members of this forum taking the time to post their answers and views on the different questions and threads even when something similar has been asked before.

Well said dalicheshire!!

It makes such a difference when people take the time to answer your questions, this forum helped so much last year when it was my first time to Dalyan, and I'm sure they must have had a little sigh when faced with another " what's the weather like" " best thing for mozzie bites" etc but never said ' look at the reviews' So please carry on being the lovely obliging people that you are xx

Well said Dai,Cheshire and Shorty. What sort of answer is look at top ten questions, doh. Its from the same school of nonsense that says Computer say no.This forum is to offer opinion and help people out for travellers to then make their own minds up about beautiful Dalyan.Or have I gone completely mad.

Dali and Shorty , well said.......

I found this forum a huge help prior to my first visit to Dalyan (still do infact!).

Not having ever read a forum before, and being a novice computer user it was only with regular reading, and after some time, that I discovered things like "The top question" section!

It's so true that the " personal experience" replies are really helpful, ever changing and sometimes wonderfully amusing!

I never tire of reading peoples posts, and although some of the questions may be repetitive...... many of the answers show a picture of a changing and evolving Dalyan.

The warmth and friendliness of the majority of posters is a joy, and does indeed make this forum special!

Koswold... please lighten up a little!!

hi all

i could not agree more, i contribute on this forum to help and inform future Dalyan visitors and i am quite prepared to answer the same old questions time and time again. There's nothing better for me than someone taking time to personally answer the questions being asked.

There is a new Lokanta on the main drag out of town, don't know the name but is about opposite the second petrol station, past the 1001 shop. It is canteen style, no alcohol, but genuine Turkish food, big helpings, plenty of choice and cheap, cheap, cheap. I had a 3 course lunch and 2 ayran = 8tl about £2.50. It's not somewhere you would go in the evening perhaps, but is great for lunch or a quick snack. As it is brand new it is very clean and efficient with mostly Turks popping in........do try it!
