Ramadan 2014

Looking to book our first holiday to Dalyan & one of the weeks we are thinking of is the start of Ramadan. Have looked at previous comments on here & it seems that things carry on as normal for tourists, am I correct in thinking that?

Thanks

That's right - as a tourist you won't notice any difference, things carry on as normal in Dalyan. :-)

I like being there in Ramadan. You'll see lots of Turkish people coming out to eat together or stoll after sunset (having fasted all day) so there's a more Turkish feel.

It won't effect your holiday otherwise.

My post should have read "stroll" not stoll. You won't see much stolling!

Thanks very much for your replies. Last year during Ramadan we had a Muslim young man staying with us, an old school friend of our sons, so know quite a bit about the custom, but just wondered if it would be ok to drink alcohol. Don't want to be disrespectful.

Thanks again
